Why does the USCIS let illegal immigrants finally receive a green card if they marry an American?
Why doesn’t the USCIS have any laws concerning this issue? Thousands of people get green cards this way while other criminals (apparently) can never obtain a green card. Why is an illegal alien exempt from this rule? I’m just asking, I don’t want to cause a fight, I’m not pro or anti-illegal, I just want to know what you guys think. Don’t you think a law regarding illegals is missing in this respect?
The fact that illegals want to marry for a green card encourage marriage frauds. . . if illegals were not given the chance to legalize their status by marriage, there wouldn’t be so many marriage frauds.
I’ve written you private messages. Wasn’t it enough? I got no reply at all.

Because they are illegal? That would pretty much just encourage fraudulent marriages for the purpose of getting a green card.
A US citizen spouse who applies for change of status for an illegal alien spouse now gets that illegal alien deported. It’s about time we enforced our laws more stringently and more equitably.
However, there are still millions of illegal aliens in this country (as well as in other countries — they have problems, too). And there are millions more who manipulate the system to get around immigration laws. No one who violates immigration laws should ever be allowed to get immigration status. Bar them permanently. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators.
Sue, there are alot of poor (incredibly poor) Eastern European countries. Go buy a book and learn something.
. . . So, educate me on Ukraine or Romania, if you are from there. No? Okay then, go away.
